AURA Awards 2017 - the winners!

Research agencies and clients received awards from AURA members at their Annual Dinner at the Millennium Gloucester on 8 March 2017.  

The awards are unique in being decided by a group made up entirely of clients.  Helen James, AURA’s Chair said “these awards are not decided by a panel of experts.  Every single one of our 208 member companies and 810 individual members had the opportunity to have their say.”

The Trusted Advisor award recognises the agency which truly understands its clients’ agenda and goes beyond the call of duty to help deliver it.  ABA Research were the winners this year.

The Commercial Acumen award is for the agency which stands out in terms of proactively driving commercial returns from insight.  It was won by Incite for the second year running.

The Communication award, for dynamic delivery that creates a ‘wow’ factor, meaning a client would be proud to put that agency in front of any internal audience with confidence went to Flamingo.

Agency of the Year was awarded to the agency with the most nominations and votes in the above 3 categories, implying consistency as well as depth of expertise. ABA Research won this one also.

 

There were also awards for agencies and members who have made notable contributions to AURA itself.  AURA relies on its members to share their experiences for others to learn from.  Lizzi Seear of IHG won the Knowledge Sharing award.  Graeme Armstrong was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to AURA award for his dedication to helping us develop our website.

AURA members have been really pleased to attract some great speakers at their seminars over the last year.  There have been some very memorable presentations that have left them with lots of practical tips to take back into the workplace.  The Best agency presenter was won by Alex Gordon of Sign Salad.  Jodie Gillary of Premier Foods took the award for the Best client presenter.

The prestigious AURA Insight Impact Award, for the case study that demonstrates the greatest impact on the client, went to Experian.

The awards were just one part of the AURA one day event which was run in partnership with The Insight Show.  Earlier in the day members enjoyed a conference programme focused on Story Telling.
